Sorry to anyone I just spammed with an invite to this, I just made the group and am excited to get it up and running!

So, I just had an idea pop into my head for an rp group, which I think would be fun as sometimes its nice to do a bit of creative writing as well as artwork!
The group would involve both writing and drawing to earn points against the group points system for your character/s. Each player would begin with one character only but would earn the right to play more through rp.
BASIC IDEA
The world as humanity knew it is no more. Thousands of years ago a great plague swept through the lands and destroyed human kind and all the apes, there are rumours that the downfall was mans own doing... That one greatly greedy dictator called together a group who formed a cult, and that it was there that things started to crumble.
The cult worked with dark magic which had lain old and forgotten for centuries and twisted it to suit their own needs, modernising and warping simple spells and rituals which were never designed to be changed. Through these actions they bought on the fury of very ancient gods and demons, beings which had fallen into obscurity long before Christianity, before the greeks, the Egyptians and the Sumerians...
The cult bought on Humanities own personal apocalypse, their idiocy ringing the wrath of the old and vengeful gods down upon their kind. The sickness started in monkeys, and soon spread to human kind. It was truly awful. It started with pox and a hacking cough and finished in a matter of days with blood seeping from the pores and every orifice and death.
In time Humanity was forgotten, their bones long decayed and their structures slowly eroded to rubble by the elements and natural disasters... but the gods and the demons lived on; re-awakened and stronger than ever in the wake of the tragedy they had caused.
None of these deities where what you would class as good, all are powerful and terrible and kept sated only by fierce loyalty from the creatures which remained after the plague. They are quick to anger and to smite those who do not please them, the demons especially so... but they also offer great power to those who serve them well.
Blood sacrifices are common in the new age, life is seen as the greatest gift by all.
In the modern age darkness is spreading rapidly. More and more choose to pledge themselves on the side of the demons thanks to their more instant gratifications for their followers. Shamans rule large areas by fear and tyrants with bands of loyal followers are rife even in the civilised 'light lands.'
Times are hard and the underworld is clawing its way up onto the physical realm, billowing dark clouds of foul smelling smoke which blanket large areas of the world. Creatures who live in these areas near fissures in the 'dark lands' or who worship demons twist over time. They change mentally and physically to reveal the evil they hold or are surrounded by, and they can spread this to others with ease by cursing them. Some high level dark shamans can even infect others with debilitating afflictions simply by breathing onto their faces. These darker beings live unnaturally long lives if they are loyal, and many sell their souls to their chosen demon to receive this honour.
In other areas, the 'light lands',things are very different but not much easier. The gods expect offerings from their followers often and are quick to anger if they do not get them. The centre of the light lands lies where 'heaven descends to earth.' A mountain range which is dotted with pyramid temples and always bathed in a warm golden light like a perpetual sunrise. Here the creatures who live can also be changed by their loyalty but in a very different way. Rather than being warped by their closeness to divinity they are bettered by it, many can heal wounds more quickly and the shamans here can cure disease. These beings cannot infect others with these abilities like their darker counterparts.
RP POINTS TO DISCUSS
* We would need people to play the gods and demons (for which auditions would be held)
* We would need people to play the shamans (more auditions for these parts.)
*Species which could rp would be canids, felines, equines, pretty much anything thats not an ape.
*You would be able to earn abilities/powers for your character through RP
*there would be activities to partake in and there would be open rp too.
*Gods to be rp'd would be: Life, Health, Earth/nature and wealth (you can propose another god if you can think of one you'd really like to rp, and you can chose the names of your gods.)
*Demons to be rp'd would be: Death, Plague, Disaster and war. (again, if you can think of another demon you'd like to rp then you can propose it, and you can name your demons.)
